About Us
The movie Slumdog Millionaire which collected eight Oscars and many other awards illustrated starkly the life of millions of people living in urban slums in many developing countries. SlumAid was developed as a means of allowing people from the UK who want to help make a difference to the lives of slum dwellers like those depicted in the movie.
The New Millennium Network is a registered charity (Reg. No. 1063494) which runs the SlumAid Project.
SlumAid is aimed at people who wish to give their time to help and are looking for something worthwhile and challenging to do. We work with a local NGO, Lok Seva Sangam, and participate in projects which provide health clinics, education, community development and employment workshops.
